|Nature was our artillery,
knocking gaps in the classics, blowing apart
the skilled idiots, the sentimental frauds,
making room for our exuberant selves,
so mean, angry, jealous, and driven
we'd eat beans one month straight, to buy paint.
Like peasants, we learned our craft in the field.
